  • Erudio terminated loan no notice

Hello I hope people here can help I've been going round in circles

I deferred my loans with Erudio back in 2020 they were overseen by SLC as one of my loans was held by thesis . I returned the deferment form as usual as the period of deferment was finishing and I needed to defer . All seemed fine as usual . I received a letter from SLC a few weeks later in November 2020 to let me know deferment confirmed . I didn't need to defer again as my loans were to be age cancelled in 2021 they were in deferment till November 2021 . Moving ahead to 2022 I received a claim pack from Erudio claiming my loans were terminated . After few weeks of letter writing I found out they terminated my loans on 09 th November 2020 when they were deferred I have this in writing . I have sent copy of the deferment letter to Erudio as a complaint they have 8 weeks to reply .

They say they terminated my account due to arreas ..it was deferred and the previous twelve months before It was deferred . So where are the arreas? . I have put in my letter of complaint that no notice of any arreas have been sent to me or a notice of default or a notice of termination they didn't even tell me it was terminated . How can they justify this ?

I filled in the claim pack for the court stating I don't accept the debt and wait for their final letter .they say they can't answer yet as they are fully investigating . Sounds like standard reply to me . Think this whole thing is a ploy to stop me from being able to take advantage of the age cancellation of my loans as I was 50 in 2021. Now I'm liable whole amount of the loans .

Is there anything else I can do . I realize if I don't accept their final answer I can write to the ombudsman and the FCA and of course fight my case in the court .

I've also sent a sar to student loan company for all information re deferments since Erudio bought my loans . Once I have their answer if it's not in my favour I will sar erudio although I don't trust them .

I'm not aware of any arreas from deferring not since 2017 . My dad was dying in 2016 terminal cancer I'm concerned I may have applied late and missed one or 2 payments in 2016 . Surely they needed to default me then and give me chance to settle arreas if there were any . This is the only instance I can think of

    Hope you can help Thanks
