Short story, i fell for some crypto scam of fake influencer gang, with 100's of thousands of followers which they scammed as well, the accounts were a decade old, verified, so in my mind i was thinking if something goes wrong i should know who to sue... Turns out not only that twitter doesn't really verify who that person is(the verified checkbox means really nothing, some pro features as well), but as well the fact that twitter doesn't want to collaborate at all... They have been warned by 100's if not 1000's of people already few months ago, that these people are a bunch of crypto scam criminal group, but out of 15 of them, only 1 got banned, and they all use the same method and clearly at least few are connected to each other(copy and paste comments, or very similar way of talking about something).
The only response i got was some short copy & paste response which wasn't even referring to the topic... My local police isn't even able to read a damn email, they will not be able to help, some americans that have been scammed as well as i understood have reported that to their local police and the FBI as well, but there's no info what's going on, if they did even bother to start an investigation or they just dump it to the trash bin, and the criminals are most likely from some "exotic" countries clearly not even close to my area.
Twitters behavior makes me want to sue them for real, neglect like this should be punished, but as i expect this will not work, even though i think i am absolutely right, there's no criminals data, so you can't really chase them as well, twitter doesn't even bother to answer what's going on, and no one knows anything really, what to do then?
