  • Dealer not paid the warranty

    Good morning all
I brought a car 5 months ago from an independent dealer, paid by bank transfer
When I brought the car I did all the checks, hpi mot history ect, the car came with full history, full mot, and 6 MONTHS COMPREHENSIVE WARRANTY, and 12 months AA break down cover

The car came with stacks of history and all the major/common faults had been taken care of

5 months later I noticed that the car has been using a bit more oil than it should so contacted the dealer and said when I would be available to take the car in and he said he will let me know
3 days went past and no contact so I emailed the warranty compay to find out what steps to go through to get the car looked at and they informed me that my car isn't on the system and has no active policy

The dealer has arranged for it to go into his garage today, but the garage is also part of his company which is now ringing alarm bells

if the issue isnt resolved to my likeing can i take leagal proceedings due to being miss sold a car with warranty which it didnt have?
