  • Vulnerable customer - car finance.

    Hello.

    Last Dec I entered into a finance deal, HP, on a car.
    The broker was Zuto - I have a low income and low credit score.
    The lender is Tandem.

    My situation is that I had a brain injury and am slightly low on horsepower and can easily get confused.
    I have ended up with a deal where I cannot afford the payments. Hindsight can see a long way, but I really do not know why I went for such an expensive car.
    The loan repayment are £230.
    Due to my head injury I cannot work. Other jobs are unlikely due to health reasons. I wish I could just get any job but alas.

    I checked my emails and at no time did anyone ask me about 'vulnerable customer' status of explain this. I have checked paperwork as well. Nothing.

    I have tried to sell the car, no luck, at a cheap price. My local used car place have offered me a sum, WBAC is a dead end as is Motorway.

    The question is this (I think);

    Did they (broker or lender) behave correctly in regards to Vulnerable customer rules?
    I didn't get a questionnaire or in their fact finding process wasn't asked.

    Who should have asked? Broker or Lender?

    I am at a loss and your guidance is much appreciated. I think I have given a decent over view.
