  • Blackhorse refusing to “accept” VT due to gap insurance

Hi, I’m wondering if anyone has any advice on this. I’ve sent through my VT to Blackhorse last week via email with a signature. They are however stating that they will not “accept” my voluntary termination unless I write to them stating that I accept liability for my gap insurance payment of just under £100. As far as I am aware they have no right to refuse to accept my voluntary termination and can simply bill me for the amount if they believe I am liable...am I correct in thinking this and in thinking that I do not have to send them any further such correspondence in order for my VT to be actioned? If I am correct, can anyone advise on what steps to take next?
I would be grateful for any advice or guidance, thank you.
