Hi,
like so so many previous contributors, We have found ourselves in the unfortunate position of listening to a car salesman and taking a car on PCP at a ridiculously low annual milage allowence (6000 pa) under the premise that “they never charge for excess milage”!
We have infact gone over considerably due to a change in jobs to the tune of circa 40,000. Excess charge is 7.7ppm so looking at a charge of circa £3,000.
We previously complained to VW finance and the dealership who investigated and found no wrongdoing on their part as we had signed the contract.
We have today submitted the VT letter to VW using the template kindly supplied on LB.
What is to be expected next? How far will VW take this, looking at many threads there doesn’t seem to be many outcomes posted successfully avoiding paying these charges.
Any advice would be most appreciated.
Regards
Dom
