Hi,
I returned an Audi Q5 under a VT in October 2017.
The inspection came back as clear and nothing noted on the report.
I then received an invoice for £2500 for excess mileage shortly after. I submitted my response using the templates on this site and heard nothing until mid September 2018 where they were a little more heavy handed and demanding payment within 5 days. I replied and further noted that they had not adequately responded to my points raised in relation to 99 and 100 of the CCA.
They have sent their reply back from last year which states I am liable as the excess mileage occurred prior to termination. I have yet to reply and am seeking advice on to what I should use as this stage.
They have settled the VT on my credit file so they have little opportunity to do a 'BMW' and add defaults and I am dubious as to why they have left it almost a year before making further contact.
I have reminded them that I dispute the charge and have do not wish to go to the Ombudsman. We are at deadlock really where we are in dispute and have invited them to commence proceedings.
Any advice at this stage ?
