What should a letter before claim contain?

I have received a county court claim form for a parking fine in a private car park, i am busy writing my defence.
They say i have had a letter before claim, but i cannot find any calculation of the debt, what should a letter before claim contain
Also the parking company's idea of an alternative dispute resolution is to offer me a reduction from £100 to £60, so i will be mentioning that in my defence
