Hi All,
I recently received a ticket from PA for overstaying by 1 minute in a 20 minute parking area.
I should have put my reg into a pad in the shop but I wasn't aware a new system was in place and the staff never mentioned it.
My appeal was rejected. I should have seen the signs. There was no grace period and £100 is deemed reasonable for a 1 minute overstay by reference to ParkingEye v Beavis.
They refused to supply the name of the landowner they are contracted by on GDPR grounds.
I was surprised by that. I assume this information is available via the Land Registry or Companies House.
Just wondering if anyone had a view on this.
I'm going to appeal to the IAS next.
Either way I won't be shopping there again.
