Purchase of new home while owning an existing property with former girlfriend

Hi

I currently own a home I cannot sell (or can I?) with my ex partner due to her living there with my child under 18 years of age

Will I have to pay extra stamp duty if I buy my own home as technically it will be a second home even though I don't live at my existing property?

This applies to an England/Wales property if that makes a difference
