  • Thames water

I rented a property from a landlord who lived in the property with his family in 2016 to 2020. The arrangement was an all inclusive rent. My name was never on any bill and paid my rent with no issues. I didn't sign any tenancy agreement unfortunately
I moved out of the property only to receive letters from Thames Water that l owe them £1089. I called them and explained it was a multiple occupancy and the landlord was responsible for the bills.
They have sent my details to a debt collectors who keeps calling.
    What are my options.
