Good Afternoon,
I have been completing a Welding course via Trades Gateway (started September 2014). I have completed the required number of online / distance learning modules to book my first practical weeks training (of which there are 11 weeks). I rang up to book the practical training at my nearest centre that was less than 10 miles away from where I live only to find this has now closed and my nearest centres are over 100 miles away.
As I cannot spend a week away from home, this would involve an inordinate amount of travel time and it has now made it extremely difficult for me to complete the course. I have emailed Trades Gateway explaining the situation and that I wish to cancel the course with a refund. I have paid over half of the nearly £6000 owed however I do not want to continue as I cannot complete the course due to the closure of my nearest training facility!
I have read countless threads on Legal Beagles about the issues with cancelling their training (and therefore debt) with Trades Gateway and I was hoping for some advice on what I should / shouldn't be doing whilst attempting to cancel.
Any advice would be much appreciated!
