In 2014 the parliamentary ombudsman fully upheld a complaint by myself. It found defra guilty of maladministration in awarding 200,000 to a business. It also concluded the business had made a falsemissleading application. Defra made it clear it would recover the 200,000 from the applicants. it also was ordered to carry out special proceedures in appraising applications. the funding was never recovered.
Believe it or not they have again given the same applicants another 200,000. Ive done a freedom of information request to find out details. Is there a legal process to pursue defra to 1 recover the initial funds and 2 sue them for the impact of the latest award. its a bit of an in house scandle and the whole affair was raised in parliament with our mp accusing defra of a number of irregularities.
Need a way to legally find out what actually has gone on.
