Let me start by apologising if I did not post this in the correct category.
I live in the UK and I am selling my YouTube channel and I was hesitant doing the transaction process online. However; a buyer is willing to fly over to the UK from the Netherlands to make the transaction. It's a large sum of money and I want to know if I can hire a lawyer to write up a legal contract that protects myself against charge backs and the buyer from account recovery.
I am currently self-employed and declare my earnings with HMRC annually but would I need to declare this immediately? Do you think there would be any issue paying in £10,000+ (a very irregular payment that potentially flags as money laundering) to a bank?.
Any advice on how to make the transaction as safe as possible for both persons would be great.
