My ex wife and I divorced some three years ago on a clean break principle and I retained the house. However she asked if she could remain until she found her own accommodation to which I agreed. With the divorce settlement she purchased a house in the north of england and has made that her registered address however she has never moved out of my house, lives rent free, and acts as my carer as I am over 80. In my will I have left my house to my sons. My question is is, she gaining any rights by remaining here although it was verbally agreed that it would be temporary.
will she gain any rights by not moving out.
