  • What happens if finances are not sorted until after divorce?

The first hearing (FDA) for finances is due at the end of May.
I (the applicant) can appy for my final order for divorce at the end of April.
I do not want to apply for this as the finances will not be sorted.
I've read that my ex (respondent) can apply for the final order at the end of July (3 months later).
My question - do I need to apply to the court to stop my ex applying for the final order in July or is the fact that we will have the first hearing in May enough for the court to realise we still have interest in each others finances?
