Hi. I’m new to this site but wondered if you could be of help?
I left my wife in July 2018. I have attempted, through solicitors, to agree in principle that we could begin a no fault divorce on the 2 year leaving date. Upon this agreement I wanted to begin to discuss financial settlement in advance of the start date. There are no savings and we lived in rented. The only asset is my pension and I’ve openly said she can have whatever the typical amount is.
We have 2 children. I have them 2 nights a week. I pay the gov.uk amount for the other 5 nights and pay the childcare on my days.
She has refused to engage in the solicitor letter and has stated she won’t reply.
my major question is this.
im now in a new relationship and I’d like to cohabit. I would wait but she’s making it difficult on purpose.
what are the real implications of this cohabitating in this situation?
Btw. She started a new relationship early last year and was the first to do so.
any advice please?
