  • New job and tax ?

I started a new job this week and recieved a payslip from a trial shift i did there a few weeks ago and for some reason i have not been taxed on it (the amount was £110). I also recieved a payslip for this week which was £0 as i've not been there but again they have not taken back the tax from the previous paycheck.

I have been paying tax at my previous job and will be earning more than the tax free allowance in this job and i thought i would be on emergency tax until i got my p45 from my previous employer but instead im on tax code 1100l and im not sure why ?

Can anyone shed any light on this, because i would rather pay emergency tax and get it back when i get my p45 than pay no tax now and have to pay it all back in the future.
