  • Gladstones Solicitors and the SRA

My son received a letter before claim from Gladstones acting on behalf of Parking Control Management. Gladstones are up to their necks in supporting parking companies who unfairly bully ordinary people into paying unfair fines. https://www.parkingcowboys.co.uk/gladstones-solicitors/. I have raised a complaint about Gladstones with SRA who have responded saying they have decided to do nothing. This does not surprise me as I have had issues with SRA before. That time I complained about SRA to Ombudsman Service (not legal ombudsman) and eventually got compensation and an apology from SRA, but that did not resolve any of the issues with the solicitor in question. I have reminded SRA of that this time.

This whole industry stinks to high heaven and it is time they felt the pain they inflict on ordinary people reflected back on them. If SRA won't do anything, then SRA will feel some of that pain. However all those involved in this also need to feel the pain and I am considering how best to do that. Given the number of people who have suffered a Class Action might be the way ahead.
