  • Advantis Final Demand - HMRC Debt Collection Centre

    #1 Yesterday, 19:36:PM
    Hi

I recently worked in Jersey as a temporary worker after setting up a limited company. I thought I had put enough away for my tax bills but after VAT and personal tax bills (don't really understand how tax/vat works) it turned out I didn't have enough for my corporation tax. I have £5000 saved and the bill is £8,739.58. I tried to make an arrangement with HMRC for £100 per month but they declined saying it wasn't enough. I am now receiving letters from Advantis and wonder the best way to manage this? I am now paye and have been since June 2017 but Companies House won't let me cease trading due the debt owed and I'm Co tinying to pay an accountant to sort out zero tax bills with HMRC because I feel in a bit of a mess with it all. Any advice would be gratefully received.
