  • CC Claim form Hoist Portfolio

    Hi All,
I am hoping you could advise me and point me in the right direction. I am a bit of a novice with all the legal stuff.
I have read through the forum but still unsure as to what the do..
So I have got the Northampton County Court Claim form, issue date 31 May
The Claimant; Hoist Portfolio/ Howard Cohen and co
Particulars of the claim - Sum of approx £7k on behalf of Barclaycard.
I have yet to take any action on this including Acknowledgement of service.
The situation is that I have lost my job in the UK, went through difficulties and relocated abroad in a EU country. I own a flat in the UK.
Therefore making filling in a financial statement for a small monthly offer of repayment very tricky. I am also worried that they might proceed with a charging order on my property.
    I am unsure as of:
Does the fact I reside abroad change anything?
I am willing to talk to Howard Cohen and offer about 20% lump sum to settle the debt
    - shall I do that or go down the request of info
    - what type of acknowledgement I should submit in that case
    - shall I disclose to Howard Cohen that I no longer live in the UK
    - Do I first talk to Howard re settlement and then file the acknowledgement depending on what reaction I get
I am sorry if its a bit all over the place but so is all of this in my head..
    Could you please advise.
    Many thanks
