    Confusing indeed.
I would recommend checking" trust on line" for this judgement, there is a small fee for each address it will provide the claim No. and the issuing court you can then check on the details.

Having trouble signing up to the website, it won't recognise my postcode for some odd reason. Is there an alternative website I can use?
And thank you for replying so quickly, I really appreciate it!

Was finally able to sign up to trust online, and according to the site there's nothing registered against my maiden name at all, which is what Lowell & Bryan Carter have used. Where does this leave me?

Well done!! No CCJ in your maiden name is good!
Now a credit file check Noddle is a free offshoot of call credit and fairly quick and easy to use online.

You need to see is any such debt is reported there, the default date on the account and the date it was up dated by Lowell.
It has been known for DCA's /Debt purchasers to attempt to claim that they can apply a new default on the date they acquire a debt. This happens when a debt is acquired close to the expiry of the defaults "life".

I signed up to Noddle with my married name as it couldn't verify my identity using my maiden name. This debt is not on Noddle at all, I've emailed the customer service at Noddle as well explaining the issue and they say there's nothing I can do. Experian would not let me sign up either as it couldn't verify my identity. My debit card now is in my married name so I am a little stuck I think?

Re: Lowell Portfolio & Bryan Carter county court

I have just received a letter from the County Court saying they cannot accept my claim response as it has been completed by a 3rd party. That 3rd party being myself. I signed the claim response with my married name, as that is my legal name, they have taken this as it being 3rd party and therefore not accepted. I called them, was advised to send copies of passport as well as something with my maiden name on it and explain to them the situation. The man also suggested filing my defence over email now, even though he wasn't supposed to. Do I not wait until the 12 days have gone by from where I sent the CCA and CPR letters? Or can I still file a defence now?

Did you do this ? Presumably that was about the acknowledgment of service ? Did you sort that out with the claimant so the name change was noted ?

What is your defence to this claim? Statute Barred ? No CCA ? There is an example here http://www.legalbeagles.info/forums/...t-Court-Claims You should add to it the issue with your name, and note when you changed it.

                      THank you!
Yes, the name change has been done with the court.
I found a no CCA defence on another thread, used that as a template but didn't have the headings like the ones on the thread you just posted with XXX vs XXX in Northampton court, will that make a difference do you think?

Re: Lowell Portfolio & Bryan Carter county court

So long as you have the claim number on and the right claimant v defendant names you should be fine.

Re: Lowell Portfolio & Bryan Carter county court

                          Thank you!
I've now received letters to respond to CCA & CPR request and my name change continues to get in my way. HBOS is saying they cannot comply as its signed by a representative (my married name) and not the account holder (my maiden name)
Lowell responded in a similar matter, also stating its been passed on to fredrickson international I believe?

when I got in touch with the court about my name change they said they had notified the other parties in the case as well.

what do I do now? Any advice?
and also, is it illegal for me to sign docs in my maiden name when I no longer carry it?
