  • Cabot CCJ from 2016 but had no clue!

I’ve had communication from Cabot for sometime and I decided to respond. I tried to go down the statute barred route as the debt that I was aware of was from 2015.
I admit I was in a financial pickle of my own making and in a coercive relationship.
They replied that the debt is not statute barred as a CCJ was issued. I’ve completed a search and found it, December 2016, registered to an address I left in June 2015.
I’ve spent this time sorting my life out and am now debt free and intend on staying so.
So, am I still liable for a CCJ I had zero knowledge of?
I moved to a different county, registered for council tax, voting the whole shebang and now this.
can anyone tell me what my options are?
They obviously know my current address, email and telephone number and I’ve lived in my current address for 4.5 years.
What can I do? I’m terrified bailiffs will tip up.
