Yes, you could ask questions under Part 18.

But they only need answer a part 18 for alleged debts under £10K , ONLY BY ORDER OF THE COURT

Same with 31.14 - which is normally why you send them pre-allocation if you're likely to want to enforce.

What kind of questions/ info do you need from the other side ? Is it directly related to a late disclosure from them ?

The default notice they are relying on and/or the clause in the agreement they say is broken. Without which their claim should not proceed. So far they have not provided either.
