Very simple.
In 2011 identified a grant application that seamed fraudulent. obtained details under FOI request to defra. 3 year parliamentary ombudsman investigation found defra guilty of significant maladministration in awarding 170,000 to only one person. Defra criminal investigation eventually decided the beneficiary had mislead to obtain funding. ordered defra to recover the full amount plus 10 percent so they did not prosecute as they could recover the money.
Nowbehind these 2 simple issues that are still listed on the PHSO website. we lost our business and at least a handful of other more sinister awards were granted. some investigated by the EU and ordered defra to address them they did, no case to answer.
Why am I still trying to pursue this matter. the benificery who received 170,000 of our money and was ordered to repay it did not. they were let of and now have been given a further 500,000. Not sure if this is in any way morally right to reward something for a wrong. its an internal government scandel. But the FOI request I made to obtain details to forward to mp or police has been refused by defra and now the ICO as the application and details contain the applicants name. What can |I do to expose this. its wrong to leave it.

edit. just to try and add clarity to the matter. The investigations and findings involved meeting secretary of state for Defra at house of commons in 2014 and corrispondance wit Attorney general setting out why no prosecution as defra could and would recover taxpayers money. hence no reason to prosecute.
