  • Holiday - what constitutes a minor infringement

I have booked my honeymoon at a Disney Park hotel in Florida. I've since been told that at the time of year I'm going the pool area will be shut to guests as they are working on the hotel. What they have told me is that I will need to take a bus or boat to one of the other hotels in the park if I wanted to use the pool.

i have tried to complain and get them to compensate me for the inconvenience of having to get a boat to a different part of the resort if I want to sunbathe, but have been told that because this is classed as a minor inconvenience, they won't give me any compensation.

is there anything that I can do about this with regards to selling me a holiday at the time when the pool is being scheduled to be worked on, and then telling me after I have booked that the pool is being worked on?

it feels a bit unfair that I should have to have the inconvenience. They won't even give me a room in one of the hotels that have a pool because they are more expensive hotels!
