  • LTS Berdale Centre Michelle Berhanu

    Hi there,

I'm Wednesday0 - look at the championship table and you'll understand why. I wonder if anyone out there could shed light on LTS/Berdale Centre/Michelle Berhanu? Having worked for her and not receiving pay I'm in the process of pursuing a legal action.

    Cheers,

    Hey there, welcome x

Can you explain your post in a bit more detail please??

    :beagle:
"Although scalar fields are Lorentz scalars, they may transform nontrivially under other symmetries, such as flavour or isospin. For example, the pion is invariant under the restricted Lorentz group, but is an isospin triplet (meaning it transforms like a three component vector under the SU(2) isospin symmetry). Furthermore, it picks up a negative phase under parity inversion, so it transforms nontrivially under the full Lorentz group; such particles are called pseudoscalar rather than scalar. Most mesons are pseudoscalar particles." (finally explained to a captivated Celestine by Professor Brian Cox on Wednesday 27th June 2012 )

Re: LTS Berdale Centre Michelle Berhanu

Michelle Bernhanu runs LTS ( formerly Berdale Centre ) and owes me in the region now of approximately £1024. However, the pressing amount in question is the £645 for the EFL Tutor work undertaken the period October 12th - October 30th. Monies that ought to have been submitted to my account on November 15th weren't. Promises have been made for which I have kept a record. A cheque for said amount was written on Monday November 19th only for it to bounce. Further promises have been made - even to pay me personally in cash - these too have not been forthcoming. A meeting was planned for last Friday, November 30, at Knowle House, Norfolk Park Road ( a move from Alpha House on Carver street ) which she failed to attend. The following day, Saturday December 1st, I received a text informing me that monies had been placed in my account and should clear within the next 48 hours. They didn't.
So that's about it in a nutshell. Further evidence/documentation will be made available on request.

So you've not been paid for tutoring work?

        Was there a written agreement/contract?

The quickest way to get a result is to send a Letter Before Action giving 14days notice of Court Action.

I often fill in a N1 form with details of my proposed claim and include it so they know you're serious.

If you need any help drafting a Court Claim, just shout.

          Hi there,

Thanks. Yes, so tell me about a Letter Before Action. Can this be posted via email for there appears to be doubts over where they are trading from at present.

          Cheers,

Re: LTS Berdale Centre Michelle Berhanu

            Hi,

I was shown this thread today - Just to shed some light this is a large 'scam' with many victims owed money for language tuition etc. at LTS and/or Berdale centres. Many of us have 'found' each other and are now trying to take action as a group (as we were basically advised that taking her to court is pointless because so many people have attempted it in the past and no got a penny out of her).

We have all experienced the 'run around'- promised times, dates, cash payments etc and finally a meeting with a resulting no-show.

If you would like to discuss further I am happy to email you privately.

            All the best.

Re: LTS Berdale Centre Michelle Berhanu

              Hello,
I also came across this thread while doing a search
I am very interested in what people are saying and in what they are proposing.
I am also a former staff member who is owed money by the aforementioned (over £4,000) and would be very happy to attend any meeting anyone is arranging.
"ellie44" already has my email address I believe and I can be contacted direct there (otherwise use messaging on here).

To clarify a couple of points:
Berdale Centres Ltd and Language Training Solutions Ltd are totally seperate companies though they have the same directors.
Berdale is in the process of being struck off by Companies House (any day now)

Mrs Berhanu is an ex-bankrupt but has never actually been taken to court over finances by anyone, yet! Lots of people have said they were taking action but no-one ever seems to see it through. I have evidence of her fraudulent activity (after speaking to the bank) but cannot act on it as it was not me that was defrauded.
Let me know if anyone needs my help or further information.
              Thanks
              D S

Re: LTS Berdale Centre Michelle Berhanu

                Just done a credit check

Berdale are indeed in trouble, their financial statements are too old and they have CCJ's.
                .
Language Training Solutions have a credit rating of 33/100, no CCJ's.

                  Hello,

My partner is also owed money by this lady.

I would appreciate any contact from anyone who has been similarly affected?

                  Thanks,

                      Hi,

I'm new but have been in contact with you Ellie, and you said you'd let me know when the group will next meet up. I was asking when the group was meeting up recently and we had a short discussion. Have changed my account in case it identifies me too much, as I noticed that threads are no longer coming up on google, and was worried about their removal.

Thank you very much Sapphire, your help is much appreciated. In view of her credit rating I can see why action for payment has been unsuccessful...

Ellie44, I am new to the group and probably have contacted you by email already about a cheque.
To all others on here, I can offer information as necessary as I will definitely have more knowledge of Mrs Berhanu than anyone else here.
                            Regards

In view of my previous comment, I have since been corrected - action failed but not necessarily because of lack of funds. I need to discuss this issue further.
