According to their latest advert, (which I found via a link on Facebook) DS Marketing Ltd have now achieved BBB accreditation! .
    .
I didn’t know what this BBB thing was, so I googled ...
    .
    http://www.newyork.bbb.org/bbb-accre...ess-standards/
    .
It’s a USA/Canada based accreditation system for businesses who conform to certain (reasonably strict) standards of practice.
    .
Now here’s the hilarious bit ... according to BBB accreditation DS Marketing Ltd have scored well on the section re:
    .
Complaint Volume and Responsiveness ... which stipulates:

“Avoid generating an unreasonable number of complaints or complaints that credibly raise significant questions about your company’s business practices. Make serious efforts to eliminate the underlying causes of any patterns or trends of customer complaints that the Bureau may call to your attention. Make good faith efforts to resolve any complaints received from the Bureau in accordance with generally accepted good business practices, and report your disposition to the Bureau promptly. “Promptly” is generally defined as no longer than 20 business days, unless time is of the essence for resolution of the complaint; in that case, a shorter period may be deemed necessary to be reasonable.”
    .
    .
They’ve also manage to fly under the radar with their dodgy antics for the next section:.
    .

Advertising Review and Trade Practice ...

“Adhere to established standards of advertising and trade practice, as set forth in the BBB Code of Advertising and the BBB Code of Online Business Practices and other BBB guides; adhere to relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards, where appropriate; correct advertising and trade practices where recommended; supply, upon request, substantiation for advertising and selling claims.*”
    .
    .
    Seriously???

Seriously.....that is so far from the truth as it can possibly get. They must be on cloud cookoo land in the USA.

You need to write to BBB and tell them what a sham they are and invite them to come to this thread and all the other threads that is going on DS Marketing and how they have broken advertising standards rules and have niot abided by them.

      Absolute joke x

I have also been scammed by this company. I was on another website that sells beauty products(one that I have used before) and this survey popped up. I thought it was from the website (as they often offer free samples for P&P costs only). I completed the survey and thought no more about it. I was going through my emails when I noticed this one from the DeadSea company. I logged onto their website and found that they had set me up an account, which meant that I received goods every 2 weeks. I closed the account (or so I thought). I telephoned the company using the UK phone number (on the same day that I ordered this FREE sample), it went to voicemail - I tried 10 times and asked them to ring me back. I emailed the company and asked them not to send out any goods as I did not realise that it was a membership and I would have to pay 97$ or equivalent. I received an email back after 3 days stating that they had sent the item by post, they were unable to stop dispatch. They were sure that I would love the product. I have since sent emails to them and I have contacted my credit card company. So far they have taken £3.95.

I went onto a few of the American sites and they are also complaining about this company. One person has had equivalent to £750 taken from her account. It seems the goods do not have the ingredients on them or sell by dates. I have been advised by the credit card company to refuse delivery of the goods - as it seems they do not accept that they have received returned items.

With so many complaints, why are Trading Standards not doing something about them?

Yes - it is known as "passing off", which is only one vowel away from what they usually do.

i hate to say this,BUT i bank with barclays, and have been disputing two payments from dead sea (disgusting creatures).when i suggested i just get a new debit card, the bank infromed me that it wouldnt matter as these companies only sometimes need the first 12 digits.when you apply for a new card all they change is the last 4 digits.
WHAT IS THE POINT OF THAT????
                toatally baffled.

They also use the logos of BUAV and Peta on their website (without authorisation) ... implying that their pointless and expensive goo is endorsed by these two very worthy and noble organisations. I reported the fact to Trading Standards and to BUAV and Peta months ago ... but nothing has changed.

So ... it appears that what is legal and what is illegal is totally irrelevant to Dead Sea Kit. They're absolutely invincible: no-one can (or is willing to) touch them. (I'm guessing that it's their Mafia links that deters all challenges!)

                    Ah, our wonderful banks!
And despite being fully aware of the 'dirty tricks' employed by D.S Marketing Ltd, the banks continue to allow them to access funds from their customers' accounts!

Who in the bank told you that utter load of rubbish? The last digits of the account are a checksum for the card (hazy memory from many years ago) so if only those numbers are changed the number is invalid. If the check on the number is not correct then the card should be rejected before any furtherr processing.
