Lets keep fingers crossed that Abbey very soon consider all our hardship claims and at the very least they should stop further charges being added as this is quite clearly putting further financial pressure on you.

With Laddi's they did settle a fair sum of money to help her out of her financial dificulty so lets hope that they will look at each and every claim on their own merits and settle very soon.

I am keeping my fingers crossed for you hun.

aw thanxs for that Tuttsi !!! really do appreciate it ! I do hope we all come out of this a little bit better than we are now, as we are all in the same boat and paddling in same direction.. we have been having a tough time of it lately.

Ronan did say we should all be receiving a phonecall by end of this week to let us all know if our claims have been included in that batch of 'hardship claims'.

I can only retiterate what Outspoken has just said on the other thread.

I have just given him another call.. and he said he is expecting all the paperwork to come back from Abbey by the end of this afternoon or first thing tomorrow morning.
So it is just a case of waiting a couple of days to know our fate lol I will keep my fingers crossed for you too..

Hi Outspoken ! Thanxs for the update on the other thread !

Yes.. I reckon we could also confer the same notes when we both call Ronan., cos its like a game of chinese whispers LOL.

Wouldn't it be funny if you, my o/h and Tuttsi were all in the same batch? !! it would be a case of poor Ronan being invaded by LB comrades, he wont know whats hit him ! tee hee

On a serious note... when/if we all get a call from Ronan and if he is willing to offer a percentage of our claims.. I have been advised by Bud (Thankyou Bud) to not run away with the first figure he offers. If we can get away with 'upping' his offer, then we should give it a go. For example.. if he offers 70% of your claim.. you try and 'up' it to 80% and so forth.. Otherwise we will need to go away and think about it carefully. But having said that.. we can all go and get the rest after the Test Case is over...This is just something to think about.

Just remember you can get the remainder later - the offers SHOULD be calculated with your need of hardship and they are under no obligation under the waiver to give you a sausage.

The offers might be to move you to a basic account, stop future charges or allow you to repay your overdraft etc so please don't get too excited. Also we don't know what hardship basis Abbey are using to calculate, I assume the MAT triggers (which I cant get hold of grr)

The thing about only COURT claims on the other thread. I think you should not discontinue your claim merely enter a partial payment figure into the claim with a letter to the court and copy that to the bank.

If the bank refuses to give you hardship status unless you discontinue your claim they will be in the poop, so don't do it. You are in the queue for after the test case, stay there for when its time to get the remainder. Plus theres the issue of court fees paid out thus far, which you wouldnt be able to get if you discontinue now.

              Hi Ame

Yes.. I totally agree with your point Ame. I know it is all too easy to get carried away with the moment.. but am gonna wait and see what happens the end of this week and will wait and see what kind of offer Ronan will be offering.. .IF any..IF it IS a percentage of an offer I will look at it as a bonus...but will definitely not discontinue the court claims regardless.

                Hiya BF

I would say if he phones us..... and offers something on the phone ask him to email you with it and we should then give it some thought.

It is really no use jumping to conclusions with % basis at least until we have assertained if we are all being given approx same figure in % wise of our claims. After all they may just do as Jesters case on First Direct, just cover the immediate hardship.

Not long to wait now, I hope.... my daughters car is knackered and it is going to cost mega bucks to get it passed the MOT.

                Regards

                    Hi Tuttsi !

Yes I was actually looking out for an email today.. but realized he said he would ring first and have been sitting by the phone like some sort of nutter today. lol

No news is good news (or is it the other way round!) am determined to be patient (she says) I know how your daughter feels Tutts.. we seem to be having trouble with our exhaust and wheel bearings.. so this adds more to the list of our worries on top of hardship.
