Could you enlighten us as to where you gleaned this understanding please - I gather it would have been from the internet, but if you could find the website again, that would be good. Was it a website you've used for other information?

    Thanks.

Just remember you still have a fine to pay which has been passed for enforcement.

Ok thank you very much for your advice everyone. I will try not to worry so much now ( born worrier)

well considering he was giving me until Monday to pay and Monday is nearly over I have not received a call or text from him to ask if I have paid so maybe he did take it off or the other option is I will have a very peed off bailiff here sometime this week

Exactly, unless he had set up a hidden camera, and he had not removed the clamp, where is his evidence? Don't worry.

I hope this is right bizzybob! I have asked my neighbour whose flat looks directly onto the car by she said she didn't see or hear anything so I'm not sure who took it off or when.

I am concerned that if it wasn't the bailiff I can get into trouble which is the last thing I want as my job requires me not to have a criminal record.

Shoulf I move the car or leave it where it is? If it wasn't the bailiff he will come an clamp it again
I reckon CleverClogs has hit the nail on the head, marstons have had a shuftie at the thread, and told their rottweiler to chew the clamp off before someone complains, to higher authority and proves vulnerability, after all TV licence fines are not exactly serious, the Licence itself is an anachronism. strangely many Expat US residents get caught out, and it was the main reason for a woman to be imprisoned in the 1980s-1990's, according to CAB data.

Well it definitely wasn't the angle grinder man in the article I was sent. There is some kind of dark grey powder on the floor out there.
I do not have a garage to put the car in.
Do you think I should contact the bailiff to ask him or leve it until he comes?

Was there any evidence (abrasive debris, half links of chain) left by Angle-Grinder-Man? (link)

If you can move it to a locked garage, do so.

I suspect that the intellectual expert(s) employed by the Marston Gruppe to read letters and comments may have stumbled upon the detail that, as a single parent, you would be considered "vulnerable" and thus you should not have been subjected to such boorish bullying.

i also asked the court to see is the individual bailiff is registered but she said that the company is registered so he will be. She was very unhelpful and from what I have read, what she says is not entirely true.
She sounds more than merely "unhelpful" - she seems either grossly misinformed or actively disingenuous.

To check if a bailiff holds a current certificate, look at the Ministry of Injustice search page - link

    Failing that:

CCBC Northampton will search the Register for you and will be able to advise you of the county court that issued the bailiff's latest certificate. They are unable to advise you on any other matters.

Labman - is that a seperate clamping order? Does the bailiff need to go bak to the court to obtain a clamping order?
