    Okay, well if you don't happen to have £17k ( or £12.5k with the 'discount') laying about the place I'd not respond to Marlin. They have no security and will have to apply to court to do anything xx

      cool, thanks for everything.

      We are thinking of remortgaging as our rate is quite high and we havent been in a credit status position to go for a remortgage so when we do the money will then go to Northern Rock, so I will need to make sure we have enought equity, which I dont think we do

        Well the CCJ should fall off your file by the end of April. And you've prevented the new one from going on your credit file I think? so yes it will just be if the solicitors flag up the restriction, as it'll be over 6 years old they might be okay with it? else you will have do negotiate with NRAM at that point.

        Of course if you hear anything else from Marlin let us know.
