  • CCBC letter received by Cabot Finance ref mortimer Clarke solicitors

Hi Guys I've just received a claim form from Northampton, for a debt originally from HFC BANK .
I took out the finance in 2009, through DFS, But lost my job later in the year, Ended up trying.to organise reduce payments, which I couldn't keep. Moved on with my life, new job new partner new home etc and heard nothing since..... Until this letter was sent , stating the original debt had been sold to Cabot Finance. .hence the court claim.
I believed that the original debt got written off after 6 years. It is not on my credit history. I will copy and paste the court claim and await your advise
    Thank you

Hi Katy - think you have the attachment on google set to private - I've sent you a request anyway so if you grant that ( think it's amethyst1664 ) I'll check it's redacted and pop it direct on here

If you haven't paid anything since 2009 and haven't acknowlegded then you could be statute barred But we'll still need to do the CCA/CPR requests CCA Request Letter || CPR 31.14 Request Letter

to make sure you have back up in case anything happened in between times.
