Well Wales - horses are like (actually superior to) humans to me - so what about humans? (in some cultures...)?

Certainly just across the channel in France they have horse butchers. I also know people in this country who eat crow, squirrel and more. Personally I eat almost no meat. I'm not vegetarian, but I eat little meat.

I have seen what goes into cheap burgers , horse meat is the least of the problem.

Had it once in Calais tasty but mine was a bit tough.

If the question is whether morally it is wrong to eat Horsemeat then the answer is no. In fact, during the war horsemeat was eaten in Britain and it is eaten in many European countries. I have eaten horsemeat before and it is the same as beef in terms of taste from what I remember from eating it.

Unfortunately I have to use this phrase but it is horses for courses. If you do not want to eat it then don't buy it. I've eaten Halal burgers before(cos they were cheap) and a friend of mine was quite disturbed to hear that because of the way the animal is killed.

Personally, I'd eat dog and cat because we are carnivores. Would I eat human flesh?(I'd rather not answer the question but then again, I have yet to see that on the menu yet!!)

Yup. I know people who eat road kill. And very unwasteful that is too.

Seeing articles in the press about horsemeat today and earlier this month one would have to wonder if there is human in some food in the food supply chain as with the horsemeat in burgers that those who eat them knew nothing about who knows ?
