            Seniors & Computers

As we Silver Surfers know, sometimes we have trouble with our computers.

I had a problem yesterday, so I called Eric, the 11 year old next door, whose bedroom looks like Mission Control and asked him to come over.
Eric clicked a couple of buttons and solved the problem.
As he was walking away, I called after him, 'So, what was wrong ?
He replied, 'It was an ID ten T error.'

I didn't want to appear stupid, but nonetheless enquired,

'An, ID ten T error ? What's that? In case I need to fix it again.'

Eric grinned .... 'Haven't you ever heard of an ID ten T error before ?

            'No,' I replied.

'Write it down,' he said, 'and I think you'll figure it out.' So I wrote down:

            ID10T

I used to like Eric, the little ba.st.ard.

Yeah. I, too, hate 11-year olds, Turbo.

Peter - you have just under 11 years to catch up on the technology, mate !!!

Yes one of my favourite shows , unfotunately the reference goes over the heads of my son and Daughter in law.

He is grandchild number seven Bill. but the only one to cary the Bard name into eternity.
A heavy burden on such litle shoulders .

Being a grandparent is brill i can highly recomend it.

was sitting in Yates Wine Bar overlooking river in York yesterday

Couple chatting & drinking wine opposite

Suddenly-she slaps him about the face

                    He says"What was that for?"

She says "It was for 30 years of really lousy sex"

After a while -he slaps her likewise

She says "What the hell was that for?"

                    He says"For knowing the difference"-lol

Soooo, a few bits and pieces which have brought a smile to my face this last week...... Insurance coughed up for the personal possessions stolen when our car was nicked. Only 250 but better than nothing. We sold our "spare" car yesterday. That will save £60 per month on the insurance with the proceeds (very modest) and the insurance money we have bought an integrated fridge and a range cooker ( don't you just love Ebay?)and there's just enough to send the deposit off to the Riad in Marrakech where we will be staying in January. So we won't have to sleep on the beach. Good job really, as Marrakech is nowhere near a beach lol.
                        Is no longer here
