I suspect it was one of the poorest refereeing seen at the world cup. He made Spain take it twice for encroachment(scored first then missed) and failed to spot encroachment for the Paraguay penalty(missed as well).

Sooo, we have two games left to play. The first is the one no one really wants to play, 3rd/4th place match Uruguay v. Germany on Saturday

.......and the Final Spain v. Holland.

One stat: no team who has lost a group game has won the trophy. If anyone is Swiss then remember, Spain lost their first match of the tournament

Will somebody please shoot that flaming psychic octopus, its a well known fact that I am scared witless of them.

I'm that bad that on holiday there was what I thought an Octopus mosaic in the tiles in the swimming pool and I spent 10 days our of 14 swimming round the edge of it, until someone kindly pointed out it was in fact a sodding starfish.

Anyways I'm hoping that Spain win, although I do remember Johann Cryuff (very sexy in his day) and I do like Edam cheese, so it won't be so bad if Holland win, oh decisions, decisions.

I would like Spain to win, just cause I like them they are so cute.

We will be at a wedding on Sunday so will have to keep googling for the score. Typical on the final not to be able to watch it unless the hotel put a tv screen in the reception room, but I doubt it as the family are not footy fans.
