  • is dismissal possible in this scenario?

    if i showed another member of staff an explicit picture of my ex who was underage (17 yo) and also worked there and it was reported .. what could happen? could i be fired?

    It is possible it could be treated as gross misconduct. If done with malicious intent it could also be a criminal offence.

      does this mean that i could be dismissed from work there (fired)? it was done with no malicious intent. i was given the option to just quit, or to go formally and argue my case or whatever.

        I agree with Amethyst your employer could treat this as gross misconduct, even if done without malicious intent and if they started a disciplinary process the outcome could lead to your dismissal.
