'Would take', I doubt they would dither on 'disconnection', I doubt they would let the OP carry on using services for another 9 months without payment.

Well, we have been told the date of disconnection.
Lawyer (solicitor) - retired from practice, now supervising solicitor in a university law clinic. I do not advise by private message.

Litigants in Person should download and read this: https://www.judiciary.uk/wp-content/..._in_Person.pdf

Has Overdales sent any proof with the letter? Something is wrong somewhere. Most of these utility companies destroy 'unnecessary' data, so they may not have it.

Send the Subject Access Request first. But I still believe your debt is statute barred.

I’ve received a reply from Vodafone. Last payment made was 9th March 2016. Should I have received and default dates with this letter?

I can't read the attachments, even increasing the size. I'll take your word for it.
With the information they have sent to you, have they sent a copy of the Default Notice, or information regarding the date they defaulted you. That information might be on your credit file, if it is correct.

We have a last payment date of - 9th March 2016
We have a disconnection date of - 16th December 2016
We have a Default Date of - 1st July 2017

You need to go through their T & C's see what they say about 'defaults' before doing anything else. Internet Archive might be helpful.
