I bet you are pleased you did not offer a full and final settlement

Absolutely. It's the 2nd one I have had with Cabot and they have done this. They are a thoroughly vile company to try and reason with, even if you made a full and final they would probably refuse it to be stubborn.

I've written to Mortimer Clarke to ask them about the CRA report.

Some good news this morning. They have decided to discontinue the proceedings.
Will they now have to delete the entry from my credit file?
Great news, congratulations… No they don't have to remove it from your credit file.

After several emails to Mortimer Clarke and Cabot about my credit report I still haven't had an acknowledgement or reply. They've gone quite. All I asked them the do is clarify their position on their right to report data and confirm its the final answer so I can complain to the information commissioner as I believe I can argue they are wrong and am prepared to give it a whirl. Any ideas friends?

Hi, admin could you mark the title of this one with the outcome please so it might help others.* "notice of discontinuence"* albeit they still report to the credit reference agencies showing a debt owed - which I understand is their right to do as they didnt technically loose.* **
