I have just had my cage rattled by a very vague sols letter linking me to an old bank debt that Crapbot took on several years ago. This solicitor has provided the minimum of information whilst threatening me with action at the same time. I have asked them to provide proof, etc. What I'd like to know is what to expect of this lot. For example, can they drag me into court without proof of the loan being enforceable or otherwise? They are very keen on stipulating ever-shorter time frames to respond to, which makes me think they are very eager indeed. I am in Scotland, btw.

SAR them? I probably did CCA the OC at some point though these documents are long gone in a house-shuffle. My idea is to make this solicitor firm do the work. They have not stipulated which Cabot company owns this account nor have they sent any copy of an agreement. A very lazy effort, indeed.
