I was under the impression that prison was only an option for CT if you absolutely REFUSE to pay :noidea:

The threat of arrest is I think in this case for Contempt i.e. disobeying a court order.

To be honest the paperwork and time and effort and money isnt worth it. You can find out how much was owed for the amount and claim for financial hardship legally you can only pay a £1 to your debtors.

Ignoring a court order is very foolish.

The order has been made and I doubt Jules wants a knock on the door late on evening and getting arrested for contempt.

The best idea is to either negotiate with the creditor who will want an income and expenditure or if they refuse apply for a variation but that costs money I think. I have heard if you are on a low income you can get fees waived

It might be an idea to contact Drydens as they will have made the application for the AoE - even if you are going to apply to set aside the judgment you must make that £23.00 payment before the 30th November.
