    good evening, I have received a letter from lowells saying I owe a debt of 205 to bt, however I don't they never turned up on the install date due to a systems error they said and I ended up cancelling with them there and then, I received a bill from bt which i then contacted online they said they had removed the charge and i didn't owe anything I have a print out of the online conversation, I've had various companies sendblettrs over the last 2 years but today's from lowells is talking of court I have never replied before what action should I take?

    I would first send a Subject Access Request to BT to check what happened with the account Subject Access Request Letter

    and write back to Lowell saying you do not acknowledge there is any debt owed to them or to BT and tell them what happened at the end of the contract with BT ( include a copy of the conversation stating there was nothing to pay if you have it ). They can then go back to BT and get the error investigated.
