There's an IET factsheet here ..... although from 2007 ..... some query over whether it would be disability discrimination or not. Where did you get the information from about your employment prospects ?

Hello everyone. Im having problem with trades gateway. Id called them about electrical course and one of advisor's come in to my house and when i was signing the form id asked him if i can take this course when im colour blind he said that's is not a problem but when id checked my self i find out that if you colour blind there is no chance to get the job. When i contacted trades gateway they said that my course was already paid and i need to keep paying the loan company and there is no no way of cancelling. Guys do you have any advise? Many thanks

When did you take out the agreement / sign the contract ?

On the colour blind issue, didn't they change the colours of the wires quite some time back to make it easier for colour blind people (eg the green and red wires etc) something to do with EU standards, will try looking into it.

how much is this course and how long does it take to get the qualification

It can take up to 5 years depending on how much work you put in to it. And cost around 5,700 but it's not what they make it out to be. I will be writing another letter today.

How long have you been trying to sort out for josh? Have they sent bailiffs or anything? That's what I'm worried about

Over a month or 2 now. I've sent 3 letters with no reply. I also told my bank to block them but they keep sending my messages on my phone saying they trying to take money out but I moved all my funds over to another account. I just want it to end tbh. It's doing my head in. I've paid them about 3-4 months but I am not able to complete the course. Due to work, but I have not even stated it!!

Oh gosh really, we've just sent first letter sent by recorded delivery, did you send same way? Hopefully will hear from them soon , I sent email aswel both the finance company and trades gateway with a copy of the letter and asking them to acknowledge they had received the email but not had anything back from that either
