Hubby had a talk with the cops today, if there is no offiical paperwork to say they have legally removed it sent to the last known address (his brothers still live there and there has been nothing, and they have written to us at this address too) its theft.

leaving it in their capable hands.

All I need now is to know about the finanical side of it, I was thinking of no win no fee lawyers but they all specialise in personal sodding injury!!

                IMO

If cops decide its theft then I suspect you will not have to worry about your legal financials as it will then be out of your hands as it will then be a criminal case NOT a civil case once theft has been established so all you will have to do is provide statements to the cops

I think you'll find that CC (or is it BB now :noidea meant that if you win your case in the county court the loser (Mr Naughty Garage Man) will be ordered to pay your legal costs if the claim is over £10k (Fast Track) which I think we have finally established after various attempts at the Maths and full use of Cloggy's abacus

If the cops decide it's theft and get a successful criminal prosecution then Puff's civil action for damages (her financial loss) should be a walk in the park

Even if the Boys in Blue :mod: :mod: :mod: start investigating the missing vehicles that doesn't prevent you from sending that letter which I would head Letter Before Action and identify the sum of money which you feel you are owed and the date by which you expect it to be paid. The police will look into the theft of the cars but not necessarily the double-charge for renting the garages which may still be a civil matter which they won't touch.
