Hmmmm---will re read all paperwork again this afternoon Skyways

I thought your claim was a lot earlier--when you was assessed as unfit for work by your employer's contracted medical organisation???

That would be correct as Insurers will only pay out from the time you become unfit for work. The indemnity period will be limited too, probably for 12 or 60 months. As loan was long time most likely 60 months, payout calculated on daily basis.

It looks like they made a mistake in that letter Turbs in that paragraph that you are highlighting they do say Feb 2007 and go on to state state from when Skyways was unfit to work, I think that should have stated Feb 2013 as this is when he was unfit for work and not in 2007 when he went to the doctors with some symptoms but NO diagnosis.

If you believe that I am correct Turbs/Bill can you rework out for Skyways what he should now be receiving is £'s and don't forget the £100..............

I suspect that that was an error in the letter which we all accidently missed---I suppose we can't hold them to it in view of the first paragraph detailing the Claim date

Soo--we miss out on the 8% interest from the date of Feb/2007---I will project new figures for you in a bit--but just re reading the Loan Agreements etc

EDIT--Tuttsi posted exact same as I was preparing this draft post-lol

Just come home, and seen the later posts.
As everyone (No dissenters?) agree that 2007 was an obvious error and the insurers cannot be held to it.

Of course it does mean the monthly payment will be met until Feb 2018, so in the long term Skyways is not short changed.

Agreed, Des. As Turbo has implied, it does mean a reduced amount, as the 8% interest will be reduced drastically - but Skyways is not short-changed.

                          • Re: Medical Insurance Pre existing conditions

                            So revised figures:

Loan is over 132 months with first payment date on 19/3/2007 and last on 19/2/2018

So from first unpaid claim amount was19/3/2013---
                            -So Skyways is owed 8 @£199.69 = £1,597.59
                            -+ 8% inteerst of £41.62
                            --sub total £1,639.14

                            ++£100 compensation
---GRAND TOTAL OWED TO SKYWAYS = £1,739.14 as at 31/10/2013 [+ around 35p a day each day not paid after 1/11/2013

                            Revised SS attachedfollowing:

                            Revised-Skyways-2.xls

Then as policy is limited to 60 months--Skyways will have 52 future payments paid to him [52 @£199.69 = £10,383.88] each month until 19/2/2018 ( which by co-incidence is the date of the last payment due

NOTE: The payments will be paid to Skyways BUT of course the original loan amnt must still be paid--IF 2
CONSECUTIVE PAYMENTS ARE MISSED--THEN THE PPI AMOUNTS BEING PAID WILL BE NULL AND VOID THEREAFTER
