No they have not admitted they were wrong, they are merely thanking you to have given them an opportunity to look into your case as to whether there is any merits. Lets keep our fingers crossed that they do make this right for you.

Absolutely brilliant news and well done Turbs for helping Skyways reach this success. This means they are backdating the claim payments to 2007 this is some 6 years plus interest at 8% and £100 compensation. I am not aware of the amount you will receive but feel assured that both Bill and Turbs will ensure that you get the right sum that you are entitled too. Well done team LBx

                    Done a quick Calc

Policy is limited to 60 payments

                    So from 19/2/2007

                    60 @ £199.69 = £11,981.40

8% interest on each payment from when it should have been paid to now = £3,945.13

Sooo--Total by my reckoning is £15,926.53

Bill would you kindly check this for me please

That's if they do 8% interest strictly on the dates that it was due. Ohhhhh and you forgot the £100........in your calculations.

Excellent news Skyways !!! Yes indeedy, well done for persevering - and to Di and Turbo who have put a lot into this claim. I'm just privileged to be able to check over the figures with Clive, now !!!

I agree with Turbo on the £11981.40, but we differ in our 8% calculation a little. I get £4025.00 up to today's date, making a total of £16006.40. Plus the extra £100.00 (well spotted, Tuttsi !) - that comes to £16106.40.

As a slightly negative comment - £100 compensation is a bit stingy, isn't it ? I'm sure the FOS would have awarded more - considering the amount Skyways has been deprived of, and the distress he has been caused.

Good advice Di to forward the claim letter to the CEO---that worked well

Do you all think Skyways should respond with a thankyou letter before he gets the offer details?

If so---could someone who is good at those type of things (Bill-lol) draft him a letter please
