I didn't realise that. But I'm not sure that the letter of authority (which is a CFA agreement) allows them to charge you a percentage of the claim.

Let me read it in detail and I'll respond tomorrow.

The sums are not adding up here, so they are asking for more than you received, surely they must deduct for the upfront fee already paid to Lifestyle.

So essentially, regardless that they can't ask you for money they have no right too, you have £605 credit and they're still asking you for the entire 30% plus VAT i.e. £679.

Ok I've e-mailed you the letter to send to ULL but hold off sending it until I've seen the letter of authority.

I have scanned in the necessary files now.

Thank you for taking the time to do the letter for us.

I have checked the list of Creditors and we are not on it, but I think we are not on it as we did have one PPI pay out from HSBC Bank Plc.

The only forms I have signed have been from FSCS via Ultimate Law. We signed a Letter of Authority to allow ULL to get information for FSCS. But nothing else as they were working on behalf of Lifestyle Claims we were led to believe?

Just been going through file as I was typing 'multi tasking' and came across a agreement. I will scan it to you. Not happy!

No problem I'll send you a private message with my e-mail address.

If you could also send a scan of the voucher, that would be useful.

I'll will draft you a letter (that's based on legal advice we took on this issue for other members} to respond to Ultimate Law with.

Attached to this post is a document that contains a long list of creditors pf Lifestyle (mainly people like yourself who have not got their refundable up-front fees back) if you can let me know if you're on the list.

Some of the claims that Lifestyle took on were passed to Ultimate Law - did you ever sign anythinf from Ultimate Law?

We have received a Invoice from Ultimate Law in the post, while we were away(not very detailed).

We have received further call contacted you, but this was when the phone was switched off and no mesage was left.

    kindest regards

In order that we can advise you it would be helpful if you could scan and post up the invoice. If you don't know how to, ask for an e-mail address and send it to us. Don't forget to remove any personal information.

Did you ever pay an up-front fee to Lifestyle Claims?

Cellcom the company that was very closely connected to Lifestyle Claims - now Redhawk have mysteriously done a bunk from their premises in Swansea and got rid of all their staff. I am hoping that as one of the Cellcom Directors was also a director of Redhawk, that Redhawk may have also disapeared hopefully in the coming days we might be able to find out more information.

I think that its unlikely that the call was actually from Ultimate Law, but from Redhawk themselves.

Because the claim to FSCS would have been originally been made by Lifestyle, FSCS would have have written to the Lifestyle office with notification of the compensation award (unaware that they'd gon bust) and Redhawk would have picked it up as they now occupy the same address.

Take Tuttsi's advice and if they write to you about anything, let us know and we'll help all we can.

You do not have a contract with either Ultimate Law or Redhawk Legal. You have NOT signed any documentation to these companies and they have no right whatsoever to be harrassing you. Lifestyle Claims are in administration and therefore are not in a position now to collect money from you as they have had their authorisation cancelled by the MOJ.

Ask them if Ultimate Law/Redhawk Legal that if they call you again to put everything in writing to you so that you can take legal advice and with the MOJ + TS. Then I would ask you to upload that documentation up here if they ever put anything in writing which I doubt they will so we can then advise you what to do next. You have definately not signed any T&C for Redhawk so there is nothing they can do to you if they keep harrassing you I will get a templated harrassment letter for you to send to them. Bank your cheque.... well done and worry not.

Very interesting you been paid by FCSC, thought they would only pay out on a company gone bust, seems someone should be getting this in order as it is an absolute mish mash of who owns what, who owes what and exactly how people can get their stolen money back.
The FCSC would never have paid out imho if Lifestyle had legitimately been bought by another company
