I'm not sure if I'll be around much over the next week - trying to get a bit more of that pesky decorating finished before the family gather here at our 'building site' for Christmas - so if I don't get another chance to say it, I hope you and your family have a :clgblinkie171: Very Merry Christmas :26:

You can say that again about Lloyds LOL, and the news of Co Op who I bank with now buying so many of their branches too :tinysmile_aha_t: lol.

Sounds like you've an hectic time coming up you enjoy yourselves honey and you too.........

Re: Lloyds TSB very old mis-sold PPI complaint update........

Just a very quick update to say that LTSB have finally coughed up on this complaint and apart from one or two loose ends, my reclaiming days are nearly over......good job too as other events have taken over somewhat in our lives (major building project, three ill parents and very soon a puppy!) and I no longer have the time to devote to writing reams of reclaiming letters

A huge thanks to everyone (you know who you are) who has devoted so much time to helping me to achieve all I have......hopefully when things have calmed down a little I'll be able to return to help others in the same position as I was not so long ago...........

Excellent news nellie, and about time too! Well done! xxx

        Hope your well honey.

Did also leave you a post on another thread as well, somewhere, in regards of Scottish Widows, wondered if you had any luck with that, and note you complained to the FOS about them.

Re: Lloyds TSB very old mis-sold PPI complaint update........

          Hi all,

Many apologies for not being around recently but have had lots going on and taking up my time......

Just wanted to say that my final PPI complaint to LTSB was resolved last week and that the cheque - another of their £1200 jobbies as no paperwork existed - plopped onto the doormat yesterday and is being banked today, bringing my LTSB PPI reclaiming to an end. This refund brings my total reclaim tally (charges and PPI) from a variety of financial institutions to in excess of £40k - see sig - which is not bad going I guess

Will try to pop in a bit more to LB once we've got on top of things on the home front!!!

Di - hope you and your family are well I'm so sorry I didn't respond to your last query at the time - regarding Scottish Widows, yes I did put in a complaint about Critical Illness and Business Cover, but didn't get a result on that one unfortunately......xxx

Hi honey, hope you and your family are well too and no worries, I can understand you being busy hon. Not too bad here thanks chick.

Well done with the refund as well that is so fab.

I wrote to lloyds/C&G/Scottish Widows about the critical cover and they are refunding all the money back, reason being was that I proved there was already one in place where they stated at the time of the sale, that there was already one in place and still in place now with another provider.

Letter arrived yesterday and infact there is another 3 of these as well lol.

Write to them again, see if they will resolve it now maybe.
            Give it a go xxxx

                Thank you honey.
Did they provide you with a final decision on this one of yours?

If not write to them again (with you being unhappy of being sold this policy because....).

I have explained to some OTR not to treat this the same as PPI, and not to use the questionnaire, but if they have reason to complain about this product put it into writing (this way, the bank will not stall the case by stating it's not ppi), think you get my drift lol. Hello everyone, I have been reading all your posts over the past few weeks and I was wondering if I coukd possibly ask some advice please?
I realise this is now an old post now. I have had 4 loans with the tsb dating back to 1997 and didnt think I had ppi on any however I posted a sar away and received details back today.

The letter showed ppi on 3 but the oldest one which i am now positive had ppi had no info given.
All it states on the letter is the loan agreement number, start and end dates.
I know the amount that we borrowed, reason etc. Would it be worth trying to chase this one? Im going to fill in the questionaires for the 3 tomorrow but not sure what to do about the missing one.
Would anyone be able to help please? I would really appreciate it

                    Hi and welcome
                    I say yes.

I had old ones via Lloyds going back to approx 1995 ish, ok I could not find all the info, but they did end up coming back with the standard offer of £1200, and I believe this was also more back than what I would have had back if they still held the information.
I take it you have the account number for this loan?
I would give it a go, and if it was a case of all loans with Lloyds had PPI, then it's highly likely the oldest loan did have as well. They had an habit of just applying it years ago.

However, have you tried going direct into the bank yourself to ask them to trace back on all the loans you taken out with them?
I found that even when I sar'd Lloyds at the data dept, the bank held some items direct, so if you want to call into your local bank and just see if they may still hold anything from the old loan, that's up to you.

Let us know how you get on, good luck.

Thank you for replying I really appreciate it. I just cant believe we had ppi after all those years of thinking we didnt!

I phoned the ppi complaint line last might and the guy advised me to phone tgecloans dept, I didnt even think to go into a branch. Thank you
I have the other ones ready to go but if details cant be found for the first one, would ypu possibly have any idea as to what to do next or what to write as the questionaires all ask for papercwork

                        Your welcome.

Do you still have the account number of the old loan?
If you remember the year it was sold as well, what I would do is say that you know you had a loan and understand PPI was also added, as they were to the later loans and you also wish them to review this account as well (give your reasons) as you did on the other.

Not everyone includes copies of the paperwork if they no longer have it, but by giving dates and the account number will help and anything you can remember really, even the amount may help, but try not to worry, just state you want that particular account complaint considered as well.
Meanwhile, if you are passing a Lloyds bank, or even your own local one where they set it up, take the chance of asking, even if you do not have the loan account number, they can check by giving your bank account number (if you banked with them as well), as they can try tracking down all you have taken out with them by using the bank account number too, hope that helps x

Thats great thank you. I have account number and date it ended. I know the amount we borrowed so will definitely add it.
                          Thank you again

Just a wee update to say that I filled in all the paperwork and sent it off. Lloyds received it on the 31st of May,we had a phone call from them a week later asking about pensions, sick benefits etc and a letter dated the 25th June saying they were paying us back £7767 which is fantastic.

Out of our 5 loans, one didn't have ppi(don't understand that one) and one was cancelled within 30 days so they have paid out for 3.
cheques are in bank and will be available on Friday so I am very excited as we are using it for a new car,my current one is nearly 13 years old so this is a great thing for me.

I can't believe it was dealt with so quickly, thank you very much for all your advice
