So sorry to hear of your dad's fall, bless him too and it seems he is trying so hard to keep his independence as well. Hope all is ok and that is lovely of your DH offering his help and straight from work too, credit to him as well.

A huge thanks as always Di Apologies yet again for not being around much over the last few days, but have been having to travel back and forth a lot dealing with family stuff, but just a very quick update to say that OH today had a letter from LTSB regarding one of the last batch of complaints I had made on his behalf with an offer of £1200..........so another one to add to the success pile (although from what I've heard it will most likely be well into 2012 before this refund is received ) - still no word on the other one though and due to my current hectic schedule I must confess I've not taken things any further on that one.

Just a very quickie to say that despite my comments in my previous post (and the fact that generally speaking LTSB seem to be taking forever to pay out once an offer has been made), DH has today received a cheque for £1200 in settlement of his complaint. I was utterly gobsmacked that it arrived so quickly - the offer letter only came on 27th Oct

Despite that I'm still awaiting mine - yet my offer (through the FOS) was received before his - by my reckoning it should be here during the first week in December, but I won't hold my breath :tinysmile_cry_t:

Just to let you know that on that one of DH's that LTSB hadn't even bothered to acknowledge a surprise letter plopped through the letterbox yesterday containing an offer of another £1200..........so despite their supposed ignoring of that particular complaint, all was not lost after all and if it's anything like his last one it should be here in time for Christmas - good job too as the work on the house is getting pretty intense and large sums of money are called for to get it anywhere near habitable, so every penny counts!

This means that apart from waiting for the cheque to arrive, plus mine that still hasn't arrived, I have only one more LTSB PPI complaint to deal with.......yippeeeeeeeeee!!!

Hi burkey.......sorry to hear you are having problems getting through to them Have you tried emailing them at - customer.care.insurance@lloydstsb.co.uk ? It is always a good idea to copy your emails to the CEO as well although I'm not sure if Antonio Horta-Osorio is still on 'sick leave' or not - Di may be better informed on this.........and will hopefully be along soon to confirm (thanks Di ) I believe his interim replacement was Tim Tookey, but I may be wrong on this as I haven't had the 'pleasure' of emailing them myself recently! Might be an idea to start a thread of your own burkey so you can get help tailored to your own individual needs :tinysmile_grin_t:

Not wishing to rub salt into your wound but DH received his cheque from them today - barely a week after receiving his offer letter..........am still awaiting mine though!

They are not the easiest to get through to and are as you are probably aware over-run with emails.

However, Nellie is correct in saying that the main CEO is currently on sick leave, and I have currently found details of the acting head (CEO) so I would maybe give it a shot with him as well, details below.

Well, I should have realised it was too good to be true that DH received his second refund cheque so quickly, because a few days after paying it into his new bank (but before it had had a chance to clear), he had a letter from said new bank telling him LTSB had stopped the payment Suffice to say though that an email (carefully worded by me and copied to Mr T ) seems to have done the trick as today he received an apologetic response citing 'human error' and offering him an additional £150 for the distress and inconvenience caused by their actions.........won't hold my breath for that arriving before Christmas though
