Ok here goes first the one I had from Halifax please note the wording.
Cabot say they have been in touch with Halifax and this was "sent in error"
No evidence to back this up as far as i can see.

Finally worked out how to post a letter!
These are the two that I recived from the FOS (bearing in mind I did not get these) I now know why.
Check the company name Haliax and Bank of Scotland, now I know the banks merged but one was a bank account the other a credit card.
The dates do not match (ok only by one day) the letters I do have from Cabot, will try and do the same with these tomorrow and also the letter I had from Halifax saying there was "no debt to pay) I have posted these else where but bear with me if you have already seen them!

    Want your thoughts peeps:beagle:

:tinysmile_hmm_t2:Spoke to the adjudicate he was very polite but could "not understand" why I chose not to accept his decision!
The same day I bit the bullet and spoke with Bank of Scotland about the two with them, she directed me to the web site to obtain the claim forms for the ppi.
However she said something that puzzled me she said the one (the one now with Cabot) had been "charged off". Now Cabot claim to have this and that they administer it but constantly directed me to BS and until the ombudsman got involved did not produce anything like a true copy of agreement what I got myself was only the application form, they then produced this very dodgy looking deed of assignment I have sent a separate letter to BS for an explanation of the above statement. Whew need a break from all this!

    Got another letter from FOS.
They enclosed a very dodgy looking assignment letter supposedly from the OC.
The logo is on the wrong side, it does not have address or contact details and the signature bears a strange likeness to one from Cabot that I do have (dated the following day).
It also says "Reproduction of letter sent by Cabot on the top ( did NOT get this) but the FOS says its from O C
When I requested this over a year ago now, they did not or could not supply it but all of a sudden it surfaces when FOS are involved.
Sadly he goes on to say that cannot uphold the complaint, i do have the option to ask it to be reviewed and also take it to court my-self.
I don't want to give up bu OH says he reckons that FOS are "in league" with lenders and collection company's
    Very fed up today

Yes progress this claim to the end, an ombudsman is more experienced in these matters indeed many came from the banking industry so know every trick in the book and thus given the right information will investigate further.

So you next step, send of that letter to the FOS requesting the claim be escalated and stating your reasons why.

    Good Luck

For what it,s worth d.t i have had that with a capital one case, got totally blown out of the water i never had any terms and conditions on the card either so you wouid think that was an open and shut case wouid'nt you?,going to ombudsman now but i can see where your coming from,i'd ask for an ombudsmans decision and go from there, i assume when you say you can have complaint reviewed you mean by the ombudsman and it,s been adjudicated already, Stay Strong it's not over yet, you don't lose anything by advancing it to the Ombudsman now
