Well Pompey, looks like a good offer to me, finally all you persistence has paid off. FWIW I agree with you about some compo for all the stress etc, but please mate, bear in mind that they have already "declined to offer any". Ir might be worth one letter to push it, but if it's a no go, then if I were you I would take the money and run. You have already given two years of your life to them, complete with the stress and related stuff. Do you really need another fight, more stress, another heart attack? You may jusy prolong the agony, so to speak. Have a shot, but if it doesn't some off sharpish, take the dosh, do whatever you want to do with it, have a well deserved holiday, buy Ella a big eff-off bone, and bloody well relax!

    Wends xx

As regards to compensation lets remember this is the bank that refused my first letter 2 yrs ago this is the bank that that tried to hide and deny all knowledge of the first loan even when the fos became involved this is the bank that defaulted me not once but three times this is the bank that set the DCAS on me 3 times this is the bank that put a block on SRA requested info and above all this is the bank that caused me so much stress and anxiety it put me in hospital for 5 days due to a heart attack.

So i believe a few quid compensation is well in order

And as for the FOS they have been a right shower back last yr they said and i have it in writting twice that the banks first offer on the 31 October 2008 for £5152.49 was fair and i should accept

This was only 8 loans only and not the 9 they are now redress so it appears they took the banks word without investigating.

just noticed there is a page missing on the offer ill scan and post that now.

Well done on that PF, personally I'd be happy with that but then again I am easily pleased. I'm amazed however to read that we pay tax on the interest on refunds, christ they get you every way don't they.

Right there we have it, thoughts

I think I will email the adjudicator regarding the compensation issue given the way the bank has handled this complaint.

    Hi PF,

That sounds promising - hopefully you're on the way to getting this resolved at long last!

just to add going on the figures i gave above on the current loan where they have retained some of the policy cost it appears to me that they are trying to settle these as if i cancelled the policies thus had some benefit instead of missold where i have had no benefit at all

If I can help with this, I will, but I don't get much chance until Monday earliest. Stay cool, PF. You've sent some spreadies that need looking at. I'll do that, matey. I guess spready #1 is the first priority. If you need to send any verbal right now, then I suggest you keep away from any specific sums or amounts. Keep it to principles and core arguments etc., for now.

These peeps SO lurve to blind us all with their figures, don't they ? OK - we don't have the massive computing power that they have, but we have a better grip of their calculations than most of their template monkeys (Eeeeeww - I SO hate that term !!!)

It looks like we need to get the maths nailed down here. Gimme a coupla days - OK ?
